Arbre coronarien

by Russel D.

When I first saw this piece I imagined it was a sculpture in a plaza someplace. There is a sense of design and gracefulness that reveals the structure which reminds me of steel and bronze. I imagined it being 15 feet tall, on a platform.

The sections create a feeling of movement, rotation, and a feeling of wanting to view the piece from the other side. If it were in a plaza I would want to walk around it.

Mokap’s ability to transform objects is extraordinary. Now she transforms objects that she has access to. I wonder what she would do with objects that she does not have access to such as industrial rejects or industrial waste.
